Modification and Installation Scheme for Dual-Function Conversion of a Single Water Pump

This modification fully retains the original function of your dual-core bottle-washing pump. By only adjusting the water circuit and valves of the suction pump, it can simultaneously realize two functions: "pumping clean water into the ton drum" and "filling the finished pesticide liquid into the drone's medicine tank". No cross-contamination of the water circuits will occur throughout the process, and the modification cost is extremely low.

Preparation of Essential Accessories

1 2-position 3-way manual ball valve (matched to the pipe diameter of your existing water pump)

Step-by-Step Water Circuit Installation

Modification on the Water Inlet Side

Remove the original water inlet pipe of the suction pump, first connect the one-way check valve, then connect to the common port of the 2-position 3-way ball valve. Of the two independent ports of the ball valve, one is connected to the strainer-equipped clean water suction hose which is directly inserted into the external water source; the other is connected to the strainer-equipped chemical liquid suction hose which is inserted into the bottom liquid outlet of your ton barrel. A strainer shall be pre-installed at the pipe orifice to prevent the pipeline from being blocked by chemical residues.



Modification on the Water Outlet Side

The water outlet of the suction pump directly splits into two water circuits: one retains the original water filling port leading to the interior of the ton barrel, while the other is externally connected to the dedicated drone chemical filling gun. An independent small on-off ball valve shall be installed on this pipeline, which can be directly closed when not in use to prevent chemical liquid dripping and leakage.

Anti-Cross-Contamination Optimization

The one-way check valve must be installed at the water inlet of the pump, which can completely prevent the chemical liquid from flowing back into the clean water pipeline when pumping the chemical, and also avoid the clean water from mixing into the ton barrel to dilute the original chemical liquid when pumping clean water.


Valve Operation Logic

Water Pumping Mode: Turn the 3-way ball valve to the clean water pipeline gear, close the small valve on the chemical filling gun side, start the pump to directly fill the ton barrel with clean water. Combined with the full-stop function of your original equipment, the pump will automatically power off and stop when the water is full.

Drone Chemical Filling Mode: Turn the 3-way ball valve to the ton barrel chemical liquid pipeline gear, open the small valve on the chemical filling gun side, start the pump to directly draw the finished chemical liquid from the ton barrel and quickly fill it into the drone's chemical tank.

After each mode switch, you can briefly activate the clean water mode to flush the residual chemical liquid inside the pump body, so as to avoid cross-contamination between different pesticides.
